Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you don't let show
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me
So just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'd understand
We all need somebody to lean on
Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Lean on me...

Okay I just arrived home from the funeral and I listened to the new cd all of the way to Springtown. YEAH it is so good. Of course I would expect no less.
Kishla and Brayton did excellent in the songs that they sang with you.
It was so good to see your family.
You know that you will always be special to me and I love that song you sang today. I sat there through the funeral and was touched at times because I was thinking about my David BUT when you sang that song I couldn't hold back the tears. All I could do was wipe the tears away and forget trying to make them stop.
God Bless you and your precious family.

As usual Sean's songs and his singing move my heart and my spirit.
These songs are somewhat different from the ones that I have or have heard before but they are beautiful.
I pray that the album sells all over the country so that everyone can be blessed by his awesome God given voice.
Praise God for Sean and his love for our Lord.

Sean: Thank you so much for donating the CD "A Different Kind of Worship" that will be included in a "thank you" package to one of our servicemen. As the Scriptures say, music brings peace to the soul. I'm certain that your CD will bring comfort and calm to men and women who are surrounded by violence and death. Your kindness is appreciated.

Therefore, God's chosen ones, holy and loved, put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, accepting one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another, just as the Lord has forgiven you, so also you must forgive. Above all, put on love- the perfect bond of unity. And let the peace of the Messiah, to which you were also called in one body, control your hearts. Be thankful. Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, and singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Just a thought for your day,
Now we believe. . . ." But Jesus asks, "Do you . . . ? Indeed the hour is coming . . . that you . . . will leave Me alone" ( John 16:31-32 ). Many Christian workers have left Jesus Christ alone and yet tried to serve Him out of a sense of duty, or because they sense a need as a result of their own discernment. The reason for this is actually the absence of the resurrection life of Jesus. Our soul has gotten out of intimate contact with God by leaning on our own religious understanding (see Proverbs 3:5-6 ). This is not deliberate sin and there is no punishment attached to it. But once a person realizes how he has hindered his understanding of Jesus Christ, and caused uncertainties, sorrows, and difficulties for himself, it is with shame and remorse that he has to return.
We need to rely on the resurrection life of Jesus on a much deeper level than we do now. We should get in the habit of continually seeking His counsel on everything, instead of making our own commonsense decisions and then asking Him to bless them. He cannot bless them; it is not in His realm to do so, and those decisions are severed from reality. If we do something simply out of a sense of duty, we are trying to live up to a standard that competes with Jesus Christ. We become a prideful, arrogant person, thinking we know what to do in every situation. We have put our sense of duty on the throne of our life, instead of enthroning the resurrection life of Jesus. We are not told to "walk in the light" of our conscience or in the light of a sense of duty, but to "walk in the light as He is in the light. . ." (1 John 1:7 ). When we do something out of a sense of duty, it is easy to explain the reasons for our actions to others. But when we do something out of obedience to the Lord, there can be no other explanation-just obedience. That is why a saint can be so easily ridiculed and misunderstood... Oswald Chambers
I pray this will touch you as much as it touched my family and me.
May you have a blessed and much deeper day with our Lord.
Kishla

Good word about "Trees" makes you stop and think.. I want to be a big tree (not weight!:) strong and true.. unlike the tree, we have a choice. A choice to give up, a choice to allow others to "chop us down" a choice of what kind of habitation occurs in our limbs. yet if we could only be more like the tree that usually in the midst of all the tragedy and trials, it usually stands with its limbs extended heavenward..Good word Sean, it is always to make the contrast with nature..reminds me of someone else I know..Be blessed and BA servant

Word Of The Day.....
If you visit the western U.S., you will see the beautiful giant sequoia and redwood trees. In most of the parks, the naturalist can show you a cross section of a great tree they have cut, and they will point out that the rings of the tree reveal the developmental history, year by year.
"Here's a ring that represents when there was a terrible drought."
"Here are a couple of rings from years when there was too much rain."
"Here's where the tree was struck by lightning."
"Here are some normal years of growth."
"This ring shows a forest fire that almost destroyed the tree."
"Here's another of savage blight and disease."
All of this lies embedded in the heart of the tree, representing the autobiography of it's growth.
David A. Seamands.....
"Healing For Damaged Emotions"
I often see the thousands of parallels between nature and humans, but this one strikes me deep inside.
I have an entire book inside of my head and heart, just waiting to be written, on pain alone.....but the interesting thing is, like the tree, it has made me who I am.....and I'm not near ready to be cut down and examined yet!
The question that I pose to you today is this.....
What will others see when you are examined after your time on earth is through?
Will they see an abrupt end to your "rings", due to some tragedy that caused you to stop living?
Or will they see years of normal, or even tremendous growth, after a "fire" or "drought" of some sort?
My family and I recently were very blessed to be able to take a trip to see these "giant trees of wonder"......for them, it was there first time....for me, it was a re-connection that I deeply needed.....
But when it's all said and done.....when we walk away.....those trees will continue to amaze the natural eye of people that are in need of seeing these "great wonders" of the forest......
What if their growth would have ceased in the midst of the storms and fires of the past?
Let's be thankful for our "storms", our "droughts" and our "fires"....but let's continue to grow for the benefit of others.....
Trees give us many things.....but to me, the best thing they can give is a lesson....a lesson that says.....stay strong and grow higher than any other....
My family and I have endured a lot of tragedy recently.....yet our rings expand with tremendous growth....
I know that your pains are very real and relevant.....but please, don't turn inward.....
There is a hurting and dying world in need of Jesus out there.....
So from one tree to another.....stand tall and grow.

Dear Sean and Brayton in my much reading lately i read this and you both came to mind, i would like to share it with you. love you guy's
"Boys become men by watching men, by standing close to men. Manhood is a ritual passed from generation to generation with precious few spoken instructions. Passing the torch of manhood is a fragile tedious task. If the rite of passage is successfully completed, the boy-became-man is like an oak of hardwood character. His shade and influence will bless all those who are fortunate enough to lean on him and rest under his canopy."
Sean i see you passing all that our Father God has instilled in you, strength, wisdom, encouragement, knowledge and so much more into your son, Brayton. Brayton i see you becoming such an influence for the Lord it is obvious the Lord has great plans for you. May you both be blessed in such a mighty way as only our Lord can.

The concept deeply rooted in the history of Israel was usually used to describe certain ones who performed task or some type of service or mission for the Lord. To be a servant of God is simply to serve him continually, after all his mission was that of a servant just as ours should be.

Donorsey,
The earth is the Lord's, and all it contains, the world and those who dwell in it.
For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.
Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
And who may stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure
heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood and has not sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive a blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
This is the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face even Jacob.
Lift up your heads, O gates and be lifted up, O ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in!
Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift them up, O ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in !
Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory.
Psalm 24

Word Of The Day.....
The Christian way is different: harder, and easier. Christ says, "Give Me All. I don't want so much of your time and so much of your money and so much of your work: I want YOU. I have not come to torment your natural self, but to kill it. No half measures are any good....Hand over the whole natural self, all the desires which you think innocent as well as the ones you think wicked-the whole outfit. I will give you a new self instead. In fact, I will give you myself: My own will shall become yours."
C.S. Lewis......
That kind of surrender sounds scary for many people. But if Jesus really is God-if He really did sacrifice himself so that we could be forgiven and set free to experience His love forever-then why should we hesitate to give all of ourselves to Him? Who could be more trustworthy than someone who lays down His life so that others might live?
This is what Jesus has done.
.....As quoted by Lee Strobel in "The Case For The Real Jesus".....
I pray that this will shake you today and make you think, rise up & do something more.......the hurting people around us need to hear about this "Real" Jesus from you....not a "False" Jesus that we are bombarded with through todays multiple streams of media that are stubbornly pushed upon us by ignorance and intolerance......
And just when you think you've done all you can today to help the hurting.....turn back around and do a little more.....but do it because you love Jesus and realize that we ALL need more understanding of this incredible message.....even the ones who would seek to destroy it.
Will you be Jesus today?
If you don't feel like you can.....then this message is expressly for you.....
Jesus loves you right where you are....He died for you and He believes in you....
Your turn.....

I am everything you want! I am everything you need! I am everything inside of you that you wish you could be! I say all the right things at exactly the right time but I mean nothing to you and I don't know why..
"Everything you want"
November 20, 2007
This song is about being who we are in the Lord. So many of us do not answer the calling due to fear. The choice is ours: do we love the Lord enough to follow or will we allow fear to stand in our way?
Somewhere they're speaking, it's already coming in, oh and it's rising at the back of your mind. You never could get it, unless you were fed it, and now you're here and you don't know why.
But under skinned knees and the skid marks, past the places where you used to learn, you howl and listen, listen and wait for the echoes of angels who won't return.
He's everything you want, he's everything you need, He's everything inside of you that you wish you could be; He says all the right things at exactly the right time, but He means nothing to you and you don't know why.
You're waiting for someone to put you together, you're waiting for someone to push you away.
But you'll just sit tight and watch it unwind, it's only what YOU'RE asking for! And you'll be just fine, with all of your time, it's only what you're WAITING for.
Out of the island, into the highway, past the places where you might have turned; you never did notice that you still hide away, angle of angels who won't return.

Well.......it finally happened.
For those of you who know me.....you know that settling in Oregon has always been a dream of mine.
My family and I have taken our first real step toward fulfilling that dream.
We decided to vacation in the mountains and on the coast of Oregon.......we are checking it all out to see where we want to land........
Today we were able to visit the Roloff Farm......you know, the one that you see on TLC with the Roloff family on the program "Little People, Big World".....
A couple of highlights for our family was to be able to hang out with some of the family members ( Amy, the mom ),
( Molly, the daughter ) & ( Zach, one of the twins )........we took pictures with them and will post them to the photo gallery when we get back to Texas!
I also want to say a special thank you to Lori Holcomb and Liz, that helped us out so much and made us feel very welcome at the farm.......I have placed a link to their website so you can check out everything about their family and the show........I also want to encourage you to get involved in things that they support and start learning more about "little people"!
I will post more info about our vacation and other details in the coming days and weeks, including lots of photos!
Thank you all so much for your support for my family & the music........
Till next time,
Sean Mitchell

sean, kishla, and brayton,
just wanted to stop in and say hey! even though it has been hard for me since my dad passed away and me and my mom fight more now! i am still here! even though i have my good days and my bad days, i just always remember what my dad would always tell me, "amanda, just go somewhere by yourself and turn on some praise and worship music and pray and ask god to help you!"
In Christ's Love,

Hi Sean,
I just wanted to congratulate you for winning Paris idol. My friend Shannon and I came up to you about half way through and talked to you about your songs. I'm the music teacher in Roxton that writes songs and Shannon sings them. Well, I wasn't planning on entering because I didn't think that I would come up with anything, but today I was piddling around on the piano and words came to me that I knew you would like. I've been wanted to write a song about our soldiers, especially since my husband is one of them, but nothing has ever came to me until now. I think that's because I finally have a male voice that I could write one for. Anyway, it's a rough copy but I went ahead and entered it into the pile of songs that I'm sure you will take your time looking through from the radio station in Paris. The title is "I'll be coming home to you".
Even if you don't choose it, I'd be honored for you to hear it and tell me what you think and how I could improve it. I really do wish you a lot of luck and pray the Lord will watch over you through your career.
Take care and God Bless,
Tammy Johnston

It's official!
Sean is the 2007 winner of the "Paris Idol" vocal competition.........
The largest prize for the competition (that we are the most excited about) is the exposure that has been awarded to Sean concerning airplay for the entire state of Texas. Sean will be choosing a "Single" from the songwriting portion of the competition that will be recorded and released in 2008!
We would like to thank East Texas Broadcasting in Paris, Texas.....for awarding such great prizes that will be a tremendous help in our efforts to obtain the exposure that we need for the music.........
For a detailed list of others that we would like to thank, that made this competition possible.....click on the Paris Idol section of the Home page.
We will keep you posted!
